Thom took me to the ophthalmologist this morning for my one month post-operative check.
My eyes are doing great. The healing is progressing as expected. My vision is still a bit wonky (good in one eye, not so good in the other, or both perfect for a day or two) but should settle to normal (20/20 by all accounts) in about two months (possibly three).
The real blessing is I’m no longer experiencing pain.
I realized this a few days ago.
No more pain.
Which is kind of amazing because up until a week ago, I’d been in constant pain from the Map-Dot-Fingerprint Dystrophy every day since my first major abrasion and diagnosis in October, but no longer.
The awesome thing is the publisher is set for the next part of preparing my manuscript for publication. I had to write and pre-edit the book before submitting it while dealing with the symptoms of my eye condition. How exciting to be finishing the process (mostly) healed up!
God is very good.
